Infrastructure specialist and application support in JPMorgan Securities Far East Seoul Branch
 
Job Description
This role requires service-oriented mindset, together with solid technical skills acquired through a mix of academic study and experience of working. The successful candidate will be a technologist with the credibility to deal with hands-on administration and provide project support; relevant technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • First line infrastructure support  and administration (Servers / Storage / Network / Firewall / PBX / Turret / Voice recorder etc)
  • First line end-user/desktop support covering XP/Windows7 workstations with PC applications running on it
·         First Line end-user / desktop support covering KRX market interface via. KOSCOM products and global order routing / execution engine
  • Data Centre Operation Management
  • Disaster Recovery Site maintenance and systems management
  • Maintenance external vendor contract and renewal and billing
  • Procurement of IT facilities
  • Batch cycle operation and daily tape backup
  • Technology and business project support
  • Coordination for business initiatives and IT Projects
  • Production release management
  • Coordination of system enhancements with IT streams and local vendors
  • Provide first line Global and Local application support
  • Ensure the IT systems comply with the regulatory and JP Morgan policies
Qualifications

 

Job Requirements:
  • Must have a technical background.
  • Experience in providing support in mission-critical environment is required.
  • Needs to participate in occasional maintenance and releases on weekends and ad-hoc support in late nights
  • Solid Windows, Unix and Linux knowledge and practical working experience are preferred.
  • Highly committed, creative, reliable, responsive, tactful, patient, self-motivated and self-starting.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be client service orientated.
  • Demonstrate good teamwork
  • Advanced verbal and written English is essential.
  • Must have a “can do attitude”, not afraid to get involved in tasks that maybe outside of the normal remit of the role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent in Engineering, Technology or related field with 2-5 years’ experience.
  • Needs to be able to work under pressure and tight timeline.
  • Ability to manage a tense situation is essential, and the candidate must function well within a dynamic environment with frequent changes
  • Experience with application support covering trading platforms is preferred
